Which lounge suite suits my room?

  • Open-plan living with space to fill: Corner lounges, The Grand Motion Corner, Imperial Corner Lounge, Maryland Corner Suite
  • TV room where everyone wants a good seat: 3+1+1 suites and recliners, Maryland (manual or electric), Kingswood Recliner, Washington, Moy, Hudson, Arlington
  • Family lounge that seats six: 3+2+1 suites, Katie, Oxford Brown, Stationary
  • Smaller lounge or flat: 3+2 or a single sofa, Woodley, Lara, Sydney Sofa with Chaise and Ottoman
  • Lounge that doubles as a guest room: Sofa beds, Rose, Metro, Luminor

What does 3+1+1 mean?

It's the number of seats in each piece. A 3+1+1 suite is a three-seater sofa and two armchairs. A 3+2+1 is a three-seater, a two-seater and an armchair. A 3+2 is two sofas with no armchair. The sofas page explains recliners and sofa beds in more detail.

How do I measure for a lounge suite?

  1. Measure the wall or area where the lounge will go, and mark it out on the floor with tape.
  2. Leave about 45 cm between the sofa and a coffee table, and space to walk through.
  3. For recliners, allow room for the footrest to come out and the back to tilt.
  4. Measure doorways and hallways, because a corner lounge has to get into the house first.

Add a chair or two

Our lounges collection also includes single chairs: the Danny, Willys, Helen and Lincoln. See armchairs and occasional chairs, and finish the room with a TV unit or tables.
