Collection: Bunk Beds
Bunk beds let two children share a room without losing all the floor space. We stock four bunk beds, priced from $1,199 to $1,399: three king single bunks (Nautica, Tyler and New England) and the Charlie single-over-double bunk. Call us to check which are on the showroom floor in Morrinsville.
Which bunk bed size should I choose?
- Nautica: King single over king single, $1,399
- New England: King single over king single, $1,399
- Tyler: King single over king single, $1,349
- Charlie: Single over double, $1,199
King single bunks (105 x 202 cm per bed) suit kids who will stay in them into their teens. The Charlie's double bottom bunk suits an older sibling, a parent at bedtime, or guests.
What age is safe for a top bunk?
The common safety guidance in New Zealand is that children under six should not sleep on the top bunk. Other things to check:
- Guard rails on both sides of the top bunk
- A mattress that is the right size and not too thick. The Tyler's instructions, for example, ask for at least 260 mm between the top of the mattress and the top of the guard rail
- A sturdy ladder, and a night light nearby
- Keep the bunk away from windows, ceiling fans and blind cords
Do bunk beds come with mattresses?
Our bunk listings don't include mattresses, so plan for two. The Nautica and Tyler are made from solid rubberwood with a slat base and need assembly. For kids, a medium, supportive single or king single mattress works well. The SleepTime Kyro Bonnell is a budget-friendly choice. Ask us about buying the frame and mattresses together.
Need a spare bed rather than a bunk?
If the kids don't want to share bunks, the Snooze Pop-up Set gives you a king single bed with a pop-up trundle underneath for sleepovers.

Bunk beds for Waikato families
Parents looking for bunk beds in NZ usually want something sturdy that will last until the kids are teenagers. Our king single bunk beds give each child a full 105 x 202 cm bed, and the Charlie gives you a double on the bottom for an older sibling. Need a spare bed for sleepovers instead? The pop-up trundle bed is a good alternative.
