What is the difference between a dresser, a lowboy and a tallboy?
- Dresser: wide and waist-high, with several drawers and usually a mirror above. Good if you have wall space.
- Lowboy: a lower, wider chest of drawers, like the Tyler Lowboy. Fits under windows and works as a TV stand in a bedroom.
- Tallboy: narrow and tall. Stores a lot while taking up little floor space. See our tallboys.

How big a dresser do I need?
Measure the wall and leave at least about 90 cm in front of the dresser so drawers open fully and you can stand in front of them. For many couples, 6 to 7 drawers is enough for folded clothes if hanging items go in a wardrobe. In a small room, a tallboy gives similar storage on a smaller footprint.
